️ Nine Star ️ Perennial Broccoli Plug Plants - Ready To Grow!

We’re really excited to bring you this variety - Nine Star Perennial Broccoli!

Nine Star is a hardy, heritage variety, which grows on through the winter and produces spring edible crops for three or fours years before plants begin to decline!

Each plant produces a large, creamy coloured central head each year, followed by several smaller heads (these are the nine stars of its name!) 

Alys Fowler wrote "In April, one small head appears centrally, the size of a baby cauli. Cut this off and eat it, perhaps roasted in the oven with a little oil and lemon juice so the edges just crisp. Then nine or so smaller florets appear around the central head, just like sprouting broccoli. Sometimes, particularly if you have fed the plant with chicken manure pellets in early spring, you get even more smaller florets, which are perfect for salads."

This plant grows larger than a cauliflower and needs to be at least 90cm away from the next plant.
