Strong UK-grown Thai Large Leaved Basil plug plants, carefully grown and ready to pot on or plant out.

Thai basil is a fragrant culinary herb widely used in Thai and South East Asian cooking. Compared with sweet basil, it has a stronger spicy-anise flavour and holds its taste particularly well in hot dishes and stir fries.

These are supplied as multi-sown plugs, with several seedlings growing together to create fuller, more productive plants.

Perfect for pots, greenhouses, conservatories, windowsills and sunny sheltered outdoor spaces during summer.

Growing Information

Basil enjoys warmth, sunlight and shelter from cold winds. Pot on into fertile well-drained compost and water regularly during hot weather.

Best grown in greenhouses, conservatories, sunny patios or warm windowsills. Protect from frost and cold temperatures.

Pinching out the growing tips encourages bushier growth and heavier cropping.

What You Will Receive

You will receive strong healthy UK-grown multi-sown basil plug plants, carefully packed for posting.

Each plug contains approximately 3 basil seedlings growing together.

Plants are labelled (see information slip inside the box lid) and arrive with their UK plant passport.

Dispatch & Packaging - Free P&P

Plants are posted carefully packaged to protect them during transit. Orders are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48 with free UK postage included.

Where possible, we use letterbox-friendly packaging sizes to help avoid missed deliveries and delays in the postal system.

As plants are living items, size and appearance may vary slightly depending on the stage of the growing season.

About Our Plants

All plants are grown by us here in the UK on our small Market Garden in Derbyshire from seed or propagation stock — we do not import plants or buy in plug plants for resale.

We carefully pack orders using recycled and recyclable packaging wherever possible. Apart from a small amount of parcel tape and repurposed thin plastic bags used to protect roots in transit, our packaging is paper and card-based and biodegradable.
