A ROOTED PLANT—NOT AN UNROOTED CUTTING

Many perennial kale listings are for freshly cut stems that the buyer must root at home. Success can depend on the condition of the cutting, the time of year, the weather and the care it receives during those first few weeks.

These are established, well-rooted plug plants. The rooting stage has already been completed, so there is no need to take a chance on whether a fresh cutting will produce roots. Simply unpack your plant, water it if needed and either pot it on or plant it into its growing position.

Your plant already has a developing root system and is ready to continue growing once settled into its new home.

The photographs show examples of the plants you can expect to receive and, where included, the mature variety. As these are living plants, their exact size and appearance will naturally vary according to the season and growing conditions.

Your plants will be carefully packed for their journey and will be sent in letterbox friendly packaging which is recycled and recyclable whenever possible. 

Please unpack your plants promptly on arrival, water if needed, and keep them in a sheltered position for a few days before planting out—particularly during very hot, cold or windy weather.
